You should switch to ads and one time purchase to remove ads, the approach you have done is confusing people and they think they have to purchase a subscription. I don't if this is true or not as I have purchased this as a one time payment in the past but you should at least reword it in your app for people who have never purchased it before to make it easier to understand and then you won't get so many 1 star reviews.
Worked great for a long time, but now requires a paid subscription for an app with no backend infrastructure. If there’s no ongoing cost to run the app, I’m not paying for a subscription. UPDATE: Subscription model was reversed, app is back to full functionality. Thank you Valerii!
I purchased this app a few years ago with the understanding that it was a one time purchase, not a subscription. Now I’m required to purchase a monthly or annual subscription to continue using it. In my opinion, you’ve gone back on your word. You’ve just lost my business!
There is no reason for this app to get subscription cancer like everything else in iOS. It used to work great. Forcing subscriptions is not okay.
