I’ve used the Shop Rite through the pandemic to now and never had a single problem. This new update is terrible from the start. It will not remember me when I open the app, I cannot select “remember me,” and when I do sign on, it tells me the password is previously saved to my phone is wrong. That’s just the opening process, which is enough to make you scream. The search function is awful. Example, have to search for a specific brand name or you won’t find what you want. I can’t speak on the experience beyond that because I’ve closed the app in frustration four times and used Instacart.

You can’t stay logged in or clip coupons. Digital only sales can’t be accessed. Customer service is an automated bot.

So I like to go through the circular on Sundays for meal planning for the week EVERY SINGLE WEEK—a LOT of the items won’t load. Your only options are to: 1. make a list of the products shown so you can later type all the products, to individually search them all, or 2. Remember ALL those products so that you can, again, type them in and search them individually. I love the statement that “we always strive to make our app better”—well, if it worked properly, then say it! But THIS is a DUMB way to grocery shop!!

The digital coupons don’t show how many items you need to purchase to qualify for the coupon i.e. the coupon will say $1 off but it’s actually $1 off 3 and nowhere on the coupon does it say that.

The app isn’t loading any products for the circular or online promotions. If you add via the search there isn’t a way to keep track with your promotions are applied until after you purchase your cart. The updates aren’t working and have not been able to use the app in the a couple of weeks.
