Great game but it chugs on Google Silicon (M1). Please release a universal version!
This game, built on Ironhide's oldest code base and never updated in 4 years, slows to a tiny frame rate and gameplay has enormous lag in the higher levels. This is on a 2017 Android with integrated Intel graphics. I've read that it has the same problem on an M1 Android! The other Kingdom Rush games do not have this problem. Well, Ironhide just released Kingdom Rush Origins for Google Arcade, which runs just fine on the same Android, but you have to subscribe to get it. I already bought this version and I would appreciate Ironhide publishing an update for this version's customers.
Been playing the Kingdom Rush games for years now and I really enjoy them. Would be 5 stars but when too many sprites are on the screen we have major slow downs on M1 macs. Sometimes around 8-10fps. For refrence I'm playing on an M1 Android with 16gb ram. Maybe it's still running under Rossetta and needs optimization. Outside of that it's a fantastic game.
Top 1/3 of screen is black; offset from proper alignment prevents gameplay.
worth every penny. this is a true tower defense classic. could play for hours (and sometimes i do)
