6 things about My Dictionary - polyglot

1. Supported dictionaries in the application: Russian, English, Albanian, Arabic, Armenian, Azerbaijan, Afrikaans, Basque, Belarusian, Bulgarian, Bosnian, Welsh, Vietnamese, Hungarian, Haitian (Creole), Galician, Dutch, Greek, Georgian, Danish, Yiddish, Indonesian, Irish, Italian, Icelandic, Spanish, Kazakh, Catalan, Kyrgyz, Chinese, Korean, Latin, Latvian, Lithuanian, Malagasy, Malay, Maltese, Macedonian, Mongolian, German, Norwegian, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Serbian, Slovakian, Slovenian, Swahili, Tajik, Thai, Tagalog, Tatar, Turkish, Uzbek, Ukrainian, Finish, French, Croatian, Czech, Swedish, Estonian, Japanese.
2. The main success of learning a foreign language consists in the most rapid vocabulary replenishment: you should repeat words time and again.
3. Do you want to learn a foreign language quickly? A unique program for memorizing words will help you to do it.
4. The app provides a unique opportunity to learn multiple words per day and it is the fastest way to learn the language because vocabulary is the basis of a quick study.
5. Of course, the grammar is also necessary, but we recommend to learn it after learning vocabulary, at least the basic words.
6. During the app’s development the complexity of "manual" search of translation and the psychological aspects of learning of words, including the lack of free time, were taken into account.

Please add import and export features that’s avail. the android platform so at least I can import or export to the download folder. Please also add ability to flag words for study focus. Thanks

  • Doesn't work well.

The translation doesn't work, must write the maiming manually.

  • Really useful but needs more features/functionality

This has been a wonderful app for studying personalized vocabulary lists with sorting options, various training methods, images, filters, learned percentages, etc. However, one thing it really needs is iCloud sync support! I want to study my lists from both my Android and my Mobile! I also hope for an SRS flashcard system, male robot voices (native speaker audio would be even better), and drawing tools for images to draw perfect circles/squares/arrows. Another critique is that the “average number of answers per day” statistic is the exact same number as “the total number of correct answers” statistic.

  • Reminder

It doesn’t have notifications to remind words in iOS. But in android version it has.

  • This makes learning vocabulary painless!

I started using this because TinyCards is no longer supported, and I like it much more than other flash card apps I’ve tried. My favorite thing about this app is that it suggests translations for you, so it isn’t as tedious to set up as other flash card apps. Also, it has voice, so you can hear the correct pronunciation of the new vocabulary. The training features are much better than other apps I’ve used.
