Power Prompter Express for Android

Fully functional free version is very good- gives you 5 minutes before you have to hit play again; which I think a very fair demo for anyone to decide if they want the full version. For those of you who need this tool for extened work I’d say go for it. I used the freebie to record a couple testimonials, if I had to do that more often I’d purchase the up grade. Good program. Try the freebie and see for yourself. And thanks to the developers for not making me buy something I used for an afternoon. Five stars all around. May you live long and prosper. Not bait and switch as one reviewer complained… I was happy for the free five minutes. A useful tool worth the price

We are a corporate media team serving internal clients with video memos and training materials. We have been using Power Prompter (purchased) with a teleprompter for a couple of years now, and it's served our needs completely: technically, and operationally. The abilty to load scripts last minute from word .docs and reformat for prompting in the app has been a project saver. With our teleprompter Android, the secret to success was connecting the prompter display before launching PowProm, and designating the prompter as an extended desktop. This way, PowProm always sees the second display when it is launched. We designate the prompter as the display screen, flip it, and we're ready to roll with on-the-fly script editing and control by the laptop. It's been critically improtant to be able to assign rich text to our scripts to flag speakers to their piece, and annotate for emphasis or pronunciation. I'm especially thankful for the Android component, Power Prompter Remote, that allows a tech to control the dictation speed in real time to keep pace with different speakers. I've been having some trouble with the remote's responsiveness lately, but I cannot say wether that is the fault of the app, my phone, the laptop, or just congested bluetooth signals. But it's an extra - from the laptop, everything works consistently.

This is very handy and hits the spot for my needs. The program is flexible and easy to use.
