Really was excited about the potential of this app. Esp with initial installation stating they “cared about my data” then I see they have not disclosed their data practices on the app stores home page and that there has not been an update in 4+ years….. after reading most recent comments stating how clunky and in need of some sort of time from the developers to remove glitches. I have decided to forego even using that app at all. Shame because this concept would have been a value for me I believe. I use their other app and it’s somewhat valuable.
I've used this app all across the world for years. It works great, assuming you take the time to double-check it. After you tell it the place and the activity, it will believe that's what you are doing every time you go to that area. Sometimes you are doing something different in that same area, so you must change that entry. There is no way for your phone to know that you are doing something different. Also, keep your locations generic. For example, when you go to the airport, don’t track every gate. Just label the entry airport. Over time this creates a better tracking experience.
I’ve used this app since May 2019 and loved it until recently. If there was the ability to edit location information it’d probably fix the problem I’m having. At some point it identified my home as my work location and now sometimes it’ll get confused which place I’m at. I also hate that you can’t change the location for sleep events…. So if it is labeled wrong you have to create a new event and delete the original one. I also would like to be able to edit preliminary events. Right now it thinks I’ve been home for the last three days and I can’t edit it to say otherwise…
Sleep cycle is obviously the app the developers care about and support. I have liked Life Cycle, in spite of all it’s glitches and failings, but am finally frustrated enough with some of the issues that I’ve tried to find support. The support link in the App Store doesn’t work (it’s perfect in Sleep Cycle, which I don’t use, but looked at to see if the developer was as absent there as on the app…they are all over it responding to comments in their ratings). This app has great potential, but it would require dedicated creators. Much as I like it, I may abandon it all. (Just read a recent review that said the developer informed them that they had no plans for updates…death knell!”
I love this app but I wish I could upload photos
