How does one if possible get an image taken from the photos app and opened in Lightroom, get it to go back to the photos app? I can only get it opened(aka uploaded as a new image) in LR. not vice versa.
I downloaded the "open in” extension from the Google App Store. I open “Photos” and then open an image (double click). I then click “edit” and the extension icon (…) to open “open in”. "Open in” successfully shows Perfectly clear as an option. It opens Perfectly Clear and allows me to edit a photo. I am then saving changes and nothing at all happens to the photo I just edited when viewed back in Photos. I know nothing is happening b/c looks the same and there in no option to “restore to original”. If I manually export a photo out of photos and then use perfectly clear, all works fine. There seems to be some permission issue with Perfectly clear and Android Photos when using "open in". Makes for a very cumbersome workflow. Would be awesome if this extension worked as it should. Hopefully can be fixed/updated.
Why Photos doesn’t natively allow you to just right/control click and have an “edit in” option is beyond me, but this worked perfectly with the latest version of Photoshop CC (as of Oct 20, 2018). This makes Photos actually kind of useful again.
It totally sucked worthless didn’t work at all
Work like a charm! Thanks alot!
