Sure Petcare for Android

I’ve had the SureFeed Connect, Hub, and App for a little over 2 weeks now. The first few days everything worked great, however now the app is not showing any data from the feeder like it’s supposed to, and it not updating when I try to zero the scales or set up portions. It’s really irritating since I use the daily data to make sure my old cat is eating enough throughout the day and so I have information for my vet on her habits. I wish they’d improve the App so it’s actually consistent in functionality. I want all the notifications that I am supposed to getting from this $300 investment.

The feeders supported by this app are awesome; the app, not so much. Constant crashes, inaccuracies, and database problems. The app will suddenly stop reporting properly (mine started listing a feeder that was not mine, and I don’t live near anyone else). Inquiries result in no help, and then, days later, there will be an admission of a server/database problem. Currently, I have a notification on the icon but no item requiring attention anywhere in the app.

None of the information these feeders, fountains, or the app provides are accurate. The weights that they say a cat drank or ate are no where close to what they actually ate. I compared it to a $5 scale from Amazon (which I tested it’s accuracy) and it’s off by about 15%. I don’t know where they got the scales they use, but even Chinese crap is more accurate. It took me 2 hours to get my hub to recognize. I don’t even know if any companies that require hubs any more. They have to be 8-10 years behind in technology. I made the investment based on my dumb feeder that I’ve had for 6 years and really liked. Now it appears they have discontinued those feeders. The app is constantly having issues. Bars in the consumption screens don’t line up with the dates, notification icons that won’t clear, superfluous information required to add a pet, it’s all just bad. Like no one really thought the app out, just put one together and get it out there. Just bad business to ruin your reputation in such a niche market.

After contacting Sure Petcare directly for support with issues we were having with two cat feeders and the hub, we were contacted by email quickly with troubleshooting and all is now working. A big thank you for the help and the quick response.

Hello .. I have seen some negative reviews on this app. I was skeptical myself when I saw the reviews. I have to say my experience has been very good. We have the sure pet care hub that connects to the Wi-Fi. So far it has been working great! It’s programmed to open the pet door at 630 am and lock it at 730 pm after he comes in for dinner . He is able to come and go thru the door as many times as he likes during the day. The app tells me when he comes in and out . I think it takes some time to set it up and read the directions several times . So far it is working very well .. Our experience has been positive and Kitty is happy !
