eero wifi system for Android

I’m not sure what all the negativity is about the app. Maybe improvers have been made since all the negative reviews, but I found it to be extremely easy to navigate and use when setting up the eero 6 system.

I love the simplicity of my Eero Network, but I’m thoroughly disappointed in the security software. Eero keeps telling me I have malware detected and adware detected, but it does nothing to help me figure out why it is saying that. I purchased antivirus software for my Android and still find nothing. If Eero knows something, and they’re not sharing it with malware bites and other virus software protection services, that seems unethical. If they’re identifying something as malware, and it’s not, that to seems unethical too. Why scare your customer and leave them wondering.

Eero mesh network and the Eero app began like a lot of start ups and had an amazing product with a great functional app which was making it possible for internet users to take control out of the hands of the ISP and create a fast functional wifi network in their homes. Unfortunately, in time all the control would be taken away from users, little by little until they are once again at the mercy of a much larger, more powerful corporation than the ISP. This still didn’t have to be a bad thing but it is. The developers are doing a great job of providing the software they are paid to create. They have to do what they are told and listen to everyone complaining about it. Talk about a thankless job. What do you want them to do? Stand on principle and find another job? I wouldn’t expect anyone to do that simply because I chose to invest over $1,000 in network equipment, that’s on me. I think that I have learned a valuable lesson about technology and I completely support any person who does their job to the best of their ability. The single star rating is not intended for the hard working developers nor the corporate giant who controls them. It is for anyone who feels like they have been taken advantage of because Eero is the absolute best option available still in my humble opinion. Intelligent, hard working individuals are what make a country great. 5 stars seems like an understatement of the effort and skill required to create something from nothing. Excellent product, excellent app!

Imagine waiting hours to download an app to setup your wifi. Please incorporate a quicker option.

Over Triple wi fi dl speed and doubled the upload. No where close to claims of 1 g. Went from 30-50 dl depending device to 90-123 dl. Then upload 10-40 upload to 40-60 depending device. Big issue is the bridge mode your modem, meaning one the erro is Ethernet connected, (also took out modem for 4 hours on reset) Great product but was free trial threw cable company. I cat 6 wired entire house erro had 1 Ethernet plug. I shouldn’t have to buy a another router when I have a router, if That would even work. Also when it was plugged in it wouldn’t work on Xbox app said connect but at 200mbps Xbox said nope not at all! Then unplug replug internet and router quit working for about 4 hrs had to set tech appt. Then magically came on hours later with no outages reported or anyone doing anything at least on our end. So after speaking to relative whom worked in internet/communication area for years he knew what they did, said they have your modem in bridge mode so it only allows access to one port. Next day I had company I use for internet reset router to factory specs which gave them issues after this device but after 20 min was successfully back to hardwire x4 and wi fi. Vs no hardwired. A little slower then typical after reset too but speed do fluctuate however i typical run around 900 was at 760 with modem from isp. So please inform companies and consumers. You have potential here cause hands down Wi-Fi was way better but not at the cost of my 4 Ethernet ports that get about 900 plus mbps. If you have no hardwired devices or house isn’t wired with cat 5 or 6 you’ll probably like the product. Add a router or ports with product that runs at the 930 speed it’s capable of on app info and then I’ll reevaluate but I’m not will to spend anther $200-500 just for Ethernet plugs that foolish. Take advice you give me 4 ports on it that work at gb I’ll try it again but huge 1 day trial or 3 month nope for me! App is nice see speeds devices but goes with product. So come back with improvements and then you’ll have more customers!
