Listen, I don’t really play video games hardly at all. But every once in a while, I’ll give a game a fair shake. Since I’m a little older, I consider video games for the most part to be obnoxious and a waste of time. But if I do make an exception, it’s almost always for a puzzle game. I’ve wanted to play this game for months and months and months. I FINALLY broke down and bought it for $25. I could not be more happy. These days, I can mostly be found programming at my computer. I enjoy the solitary and contemplative nature of it and the feeling of accomplishment. This game then is the perfect fit for me. It’s simple, fun and relaxing. I don’t think you’ll be put off by the price either; the developers did a really good job. I look forward to many more games by you guys! More puzzle games, please!

LIke some other reviews have mentioned, this can be quite challenging. The results are often beautiful, though, after you’ve worked out the kinks and everything is flowing nicely. Highly recommended. I paid $12.99 when I bought it. I don’t know if I would have chanced it at $24.99. But in hindsight, I would have still been happy with the purchase at that price.

If you appreciate the function of logic gates, the beauty of efficiency, and the value of critical path Infinifactory will transport you to mechanical heaven. Block Types: (Puzzle Solving) • Basic - Platforms, Products • Movement - Conveyors, Rotators, Lifters • Modification - Welders, Eviscerators, Stampers, Lasers, Painters • Logic - Sensors, Pushers, Blockers, Conduits, Toggles, Counters, Transceivers (Puzzle Creation) • Hundreds upon hundreds in the Advanced Editor The objective of each level is to build a factory which can assemble a required multi-block item. Each level has a number of inputs which regularly dispense blocks of a particular type into the level. You are tasked by the alien overlords with constructing a machine able to take those input blocks and replicate what is shown in the holographic output display. After generating enough clones of the required item the level is complete. Time is not a factor. There are no resource limits. There are no enemies. You cannot die. Each time you run a machine the game shows real time stats like cycles, footprint, and blocks used. The game also shows histograms which allow you to see how you stack up with other people’s creations for that particular level. You can save three separate solutions for each level. Handy built-in functions allow you to copy and paste your solutions around for extra tinkering. Beyond the story mode, you can create your own custom levels and experiments. If you grab the Steam version you’ll be able to share your puzzles with others via the Steam Workshop. Building a machine is a joy and is greatly enhanced by the well thought out controls and tools. You can select a large chunk of blocks and freely move it around (similar to MCEdit tools). You can undo and redo actions. You can set hotkeys for the different block types. You can significantly speed up the machine for testing. You can start, stop, pause, and re-run an infinite number of times. You can alter the input rate to completely change the puzzle in a level. The music is serene. The graphics are gorgeous. The gameplay is spectacular. A+ When this game gets discovered it’s gonna blow up.

This game starts as a simple puzzle game and ramps up from there with many different things to take into account, great game to play when at work or school as it is fairly relaxed so you can go back and forth between productivity and a game plus if you quit it, it saves all your progress even within a level which is nice. be warned though it gets really hard and can get frusturating in a good challenging mentail game kind of way. definatly worth getting.
