Bear - Markdown Notes for Android

I'm a scattered brained human by nature, plus I'm homeschooling our 5 kids (aged between 14-4) and I am also in college, so there's a lot of info I need to scribble down on the fly or things that I've got to remind to get done & a lot of times before this app-- nothing got done! This app has saved me hours of headaches & I even feel good about myself not wasting so much paper writing one or two little things down, only to lose it. It took me a second to fall in love with Bear, but that's my own stubborn anti-technologies mindset. This app is quite literally like having a personal assistant//babysitter for myself!!!!

It took a bit of learning and rearranging of my mind to convince me to use the tag system instead of a file system, the latter of which Bear does not support and the former which it functions on, but once I figured out that system I was HOOKED! I love this app so much and I am slowly making it my Second Brain and writing hub for (almost) all my needs. It rivals Obsidian.md and Notion, both of which I have used previously but have not suited my needs perfectly. Although I gave Bear five stars there is one thing I think they could implement to make things better: tables. I don’t know if this is in the works or not but if it was implemented I’d want to give Bear SIX stars!!! (Customizing your own themes would be cool too. I’d personally like the red in Red Graphite to be Mustard Yellow Graphite, but that’s just a personal preference) All in all a wonderful app and I don’t regret going Pro at all! Thank you so much Bear Team for all your hard work!

If you take notes, you should try Bear. I can’t put it any more simply than that. I have used Bear for both simple notes and complex user guides for projects. It makes the job seem simple, and to top it all off, the variety of color schemes makes everything easy to read and comprehend. I love this app, and I would have a hard time finding and getting used to something else. I’ve tried several note-taking apps; Bear is as simple as it gets. There is almost no learning curve. You get some powerful categorization and linking features that really expand what plain notes would get you. Internal and external links are a breeze, but the tagging feature really makes this app shine.

The features are great and the price is right. Now, adding spotlight search. Cannot be beat I use this for reading and writing. It displays text cleanly and crisply. This sits on my dock and I use it every day. Other apps use fancy formatting and blocks and all manner of stuff. Those apps have their place and their purpose. Bear handles my text perfectly. Enough said. Sync is perfect and instant. Markdown, encryption and themes. Love and it and cannot wait for Panda

I am not a business person. I am not a student anymore either, so I really didn’t need anything super fancy. I use Bear to keep track of mental health and journaling, and the tagging system is just perfect for that. I can tag events, issues I’m having, or things I want to bring up in therapy and it makes it very easy to find what I need. I like how simple and robust it is, and it is so clean and just nice to look at. Other note apps are so busy and it’s honestly just annoying. The ability to use on my Android and Mobile is amazing as well. I originally got this app before I went from android to Android and this app was one of the few reasons I switched over to Android–so I could have it at my fingertips wherever I went. The customization options are pleasing as well, I like the colors and dark mode options. Overall, I could sing the praises of this app for eternity. I am happy to pay for pro (which is so so sooo affordable compared to most quality note apps) and support these awesome creators doing what they’re doing. Thanks! This app is a game changer!
