    • Worth it for the Artwork Alone

I have had this game for sometime now and I am consistently blown away with the quality and sheer amount of artwork and effort that goes into creating these incredibly imaginative and beautiful people. It’s nice to have a game that isn’t afraid to be itself. I read one comment that said it wasn’t as inclusive to lesbians as 98% of the characters are large muscle bar and furry. To that I say, literally every other anime game on the App Store caters to straight males and lesbian fetishes of women. It’s nice to finally have a game that does not abs outs makes front and center and not theFeminine and androgynous anime types, but the big muscle bound Warriors and Furrys. The artwork alone is by far worth whatever time commitment you give to this game, and they are incredibly generous in allowing you to pull new characters simply so you can drool over their various costumes and bodies. Whoever is doing the artwork deserves a raise and a promotion. They are doing God’s work. The story is fantastic and imaginative, and constantly added to with various updates and events. Although it is disappointing to see that the choices you make in conversation have virtually no impact on the progression of the game, your relationships with the characters, or anything of the sort rather than a one-word dialogue answer that sometimes is the same for multiple choices. It would be fun if this was a dating Sim, because there are a lot of people in this game that would be fun to romance and have side stories with in which you get to know more about their character and where your choices in conversation actually lead to resulting bonds and unique dialogue and scenes.I understand there are too many characters to do this with individually, but at the very least maybe do an event with one of the fan favorites in which you get new dialogue options and a limited skin if you romance them. As for gameplay, it’s virtually nonexistent. Other than seeing the visual artwork behind the special moves and creating a team of your favorite people to drool over, the gameplay is literally just filler between story segments. That’s the real downside of the game. Come for the artwork, characters and story, and try your best to stay through the most boring, bland and unintuitive gameplay. There’s so many other ways they could have created this gameplay to make it more visually pleasing. Full portraits of the characters, etc. All in all, do you artwork alone deserves a five out of five, but the inability to interact with any of the characters in the story in any meaningful way, as well as horrible gameplay really, really hold it back and take you out of the otherwise engrossing story and characters. I’m giving it a five star just because the artwork and characters are so incredible.

    • Just needs full translation

This game is great but because there are parts of it that are in Japanese and all the voice overs are in Japanese too, it doesn’t feel complete and like I’m missing part of the experience. All that said it is a cute game and I love the art. The story is pretty interesting too. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 starts is because of the language barriers.

    • If you’re gonna play for the characters, just look them up on the wiki

this game is the definition of boredom. The main story campaign has one of the most tedious to read dialogue I’ve seen in a game, and it constantly info-dumping, to the point where I spammed through it all, just to get to the gameplay. I will give credit however, with some lines being aware of the targeted audience’s thoughts, and making for jokes in the game. The gameplay is so basic, being a glorified card game, with simply swiping and seeing your character portraits do a voice line and deal damage. There’s a level up mechanic, but it hardly increases your characters stats, making it hard to impossible to get through some fights. The characters are probably what attract most people, which I can understand. what I can’t understand is how some characters are designed to look young, like 9-12 young, and be sexualized. I cannot support a game that has such designs, and also being advertised as a LGBTQ+ game, fueling more stigma against the community. Overall, just a dating sim with a really boring card game slapped into it. Just look up the pictures of the characters on the wiki, it’s easier and free. 1/10

    • NOTE: This is NOT an "LGBT" game.

Consumer warning: don't be fooled by that new English-written description (it used to be entirely in Japanese years ago). This app is suddenly being described in English as an "LGBT" game, and that is not at all what it is. It's a visual novel/card collector game with goofy exaggerated character designs - often laugh-out-loud ridiculous - and a nutty sense of humor, often plugging you and its silly characters into cheerfully ridiculous plots. Oh, and some genuinely touching stories added into the character development department for extra good measure. While it does ask for your gender at the beginning, it has no effect on the game and is written in such a way that whether you're a guy or a girl the decisions can still apply to you. That's it. There's no "getting it on", certainly nothing controversial (or objectionable by anybody) that I have encountered so far. So as for this new "LGBT" description, it reminds me of when "Ranma 1/2" was being labeled as a "sex comedy" by its American distributor way back when... and frankly, I smell a marketing ploy. But anyway... When I first gave this freebie a try years back, it came up when I searched for "Japanese anime cartoon game". It had only a Japanese description, but I tried it anyway because it was listing an alternate available language as English. I thought it was interesting, although I wasn't too wowed by the "card" game style of play, although that grew on me over time, as it can feel very relaxing. Also, this is mainly a visual novel within gameplay interruptions, so if you enjoy reading this will be right up your alley. The concept? Well, it's like a mutant combination of Pokemon and Harry Potter, with a little dash of "Nanashi No Game" thrown in for extra good measure. You have been thrown by this very app into an oddly alternate version of modern day Tokyo inhabited by both humans and animal creatures "Roger Rabbit"-style. Several others people from our world have also been sucked into this alternate Tokyo by this exact same app, and are student "summoners" attending classes on a large campus. You "summon" new character cards to add to your collection deck, go on adventures while making both friends and enemies along the way, and get into card battles. Oh, and you're presented with a real whopper of a soap opera sitcom of a story. It's silly and fun, and much more original than my description makes it sound, which just goes to show that it's not always how original the story is, but rather how well the tale is told. Very enjoyable, and I soon found that I was unable to put it down. It stumbles in places, especially in its over-the-top character artwork, which can sometimes make you positively roll your eyes or even go to pieces with hysteria (when I encountered the vain purple horse thing that insists on sticking its butt into the camera, I laughed - I mean, I was literally rolling around on the floor laughing so hard, I swear, it felt like I split a side!) but is nevertheless an entertaining time.
