You’ll need to update the MicroBrute’s firmware to 1.0.4.* for step length (at least) to work, but that’s Arturia’s fault. I can’t find a way to save/restore sequences with the app, not that the MB’s sequencer is all that great anyway.
UPDATE (9/12/16) - Developer updated to v. 1.1 shortly after my review - works great now! My arppegiator wasn't even working on my Brute - now I have a mobile solution to set it up like I want it. Upgraded to 5 stars. Thanks for the update!!! I bought this app as soon as I got my MicroBrute. There were reviews suggesting it worked at one time. However, it crashed instantly when I tried to use it, and it looks like I am not the only one. I also note that it was never updated past version 1.0. Developers should really remove these apps from the App Store if they have no interest in keeping them working.
It is a great idea. I would love it if it did what it claims to do but it crashes immediately after opening.
Now this is something that once again shows how well thought out the the BRUTE synth line is and why there still the "king" of mini synths or analog voices there are. What a simple and powerful addition to my live rig! WOW! Computers are too bulky we all know that.this is the future of electronic music.peace christo
Let me first say this: I own the MicroBrute SE White, and this app works with it, though the description says otherwise. The developer told me that they say the SE's aren't supported, because they didn't test it with a SE, therefore doesn't want to falsely advertise the app. I'm very happy with this app. It works like a charm, and it cuts having to use a computer out of the equation. I can see this being a great tool for a live setup. In addition, I switched the sequencer to Hold via the app, unplugged all usb connection, and powered off the Brute. Then I turned the Brute back on to see if the sequencer setting was saved, and to my surprise, it was. Well worth the money spent.
