Word Master for Android

Everything scrabble and words with friends should be. No frills wordplay, just the way I like it. Scrabble is a complete joke now and words with friends has all of these power-ups, that corrupt gameplay. All that’s missing with WordMaster is a online versus feature. I’d be willing to sit through a couple of ads now and again if they were to incorporate this functionality, so I can show my Facebook friends how far beyond them I am in skill level. I’m tired of only beating them by 75-100 points. I want complete blow-outs. I’m used to beating people by 200+ points. Trivial, I know but I never said I wasn’t petty. Lol.

Have loved Scrabble all my life. Now for a few quiet minutes a day I can relax with my coffee and play against my phone! Love it. Nicely put together and sensibly organized.

An excellent game. Challenging and fun!

This application is excellent. The features and ability to customize it are very nice and well beyond the old (discontinued) Scrabble app. Playing the game is easy as you want it to be but hard as it can be on the most difficult level. This application is terrible. The algorithms are clearly set to load the rack of letters with losing combinations to increase difficulty. The statistical probability of having all of the “U”‘a or V”’s, or nothing but vowels is clearly low. Having this happen on a regular/consistent basis seems impossible or is improbable at best. Overall, the application has made me a better player. I take the impossible letter racks and make the best hand I can (I refuse to be forced into an exchange of letters). This, coupled with the “master” teaching feature has improved my game to where my high scores have trended much higher. But about that faulty algorithm….

my wife and I are nearing retirement age and enjoy the challenge of this word game. We hope it helps our cognitive abilities to remain sharp as we age gracefully
