REVER for Android

I love the idea of this app and it could be great…. But it isn’t. When selecting single track, the only one that populated for the Sierra Nevada area was the Rubicon Trail which definitely isn’t single track. There are thousands of miles of legal single track in this region and REVER listed literally none of it. There’s also only one single track listing in both OR and WA; two states that also have tons of single track. They have staging area information, but severely lacking in trail info. Avenza PDF Maps is tried and true. For $4.99, data rich maps can be purchased and used offline for any national forest you want to ride in. Uploading GPX files for trails is a good feature but REVER advertises like it has the trail data ready for you. It doesn’t. If you’re unfamiliar with an area and use this app, you’re going to stay that way. :(

Still not working with BRP Go/Connect for Can Am Spyder.

Ride planning is great but the navigation does not work well at all. Rever keeps redirecting to starting point I stead of rerouting. Doesn’t display track and n BRO Connect.

I love the idea that you can create your own routes, but God forbid you get off route, it will completely abandon your predesigned route and go rogue. To make matters worse, it only lets you choose 1 out of 4 options as a route type. In other words, I choose curvy roads. But it won’t let me choose to avoid highways and tolls if I choose curvy roads. Or if i choose avoid highways, I can’t choose prefer curvy roads. This makes no sense. I had to stop twice to mess with this routing app while riding because it was either glitching or not sticking to the route. I finally abandoned this app and went back go Google Maps.

So I just got the app and signed up for a year of their Pro service and I'm already getting advertising notifications on my phone. There is no place in the app to turn them off and I don't want to disable notifications completely because then the app is useless. I don't recommend this app or their service. You're paying them to advertise to you. Edit: The developer response is to pretend I don't know what I'm talking about. I just got another notification now that is telling me to 'join the challenge' and record my miles so that 2 named companies will donate to their cause. This is an advertisement of those two companies. You need to have an option to turn off any non-navigational notifications such as this or people like me will just cancel the pro membership and dispute the credit card charge. Also, I tried to use the Rever navigation on a ride and it is totally unusable because the volume is extremely low coming from my Cardo headset. This only happens with the Rever app. All other apps come in so loud that I need to lower the volume.
