Kuuvik Capture 4 for Android

I have been a portrait / still life photographer for 25 years. I recently began tethered shooting. The Canon app for my 5D mkiii was okay but I wanted more control and information when I shoot. After a lot of research I tried a few apps including Kuuvik and I am glad I did. The program has so many features, including some that are particularly helpful for me because I often shoot manually with interesting but challenging old lenses with a very narrow depth of field. With Kuuvik I am able to my focus spot on every time. It takes a little investment of study to be able to use all the features but the manual and videos are very helpful. Moreover, the support for the app could not be better. The developer responds very quickly with any inquiries. Finally, the more I use it and spend time with the program and manual the more apparent it becomes that this app was developed by a very thoughtful and committed photographer. It shows. I recommend it very highly.

My years of suffering with Canon's EOS utility is over. I love this software! Canon's utility simply would not work on Mojave (crashes) - and I've suffered with long delays for Android support from Canon in the past so I didn't want that again. The USB settings showed the Canon was plugged in - but Photo Booth and Adobe Lightroom would not work either! I was SCARED to buy Kuuvik - would it detect the camera??? I am VERY GLAD that I did! Kuuvik detected the camera immediately, and I was taking photos (Live mode, adjust view on screen, take photo - over and over). Changed my whole attitude - I am geting work done just the way I should! The app has very well thought out features (including an option to active the LCD during LIVE mode, or not - I choose to active it so I can adjust locally), and super easy white balance setting). I use my 60D on a copy stand to photograph small objects in great detail - and this software is what I've yearned for many years. I am SOOOOO happy to have this now!!!

Repalced Canon EOS utiltiy I have used for years! The first capture app I’ve tried that matches and exceeds the native app. My fan speed has gone from 6000RPM to 2100RPM with the live view on, so muich more efficient and does not use all your resources like EOS utility. Focus peaking and clipping warnings are really helpful, as well as bracketing and intervalometer functions. Developer is very responsive, adding features I requested for enabling the remote timer and releasing the new version within a few weeks. Well worth the investment, and better support than Adobe producs! Can’t wait till image overlay is integrated so I can be rid of EOS utility forever!

Bought Kuuvik on the power of reviews. I was looking for an easier way to tether my camera to my Android. Installation was a breeze and I was able to set up my camera with the app and started taking pix! I also appreciate the upgrades as they come. Thanks for a well made product that I can use.
