Xkey Piano for Android

Some reviews said it doesn't work without a Xkey device. I got it anyways just to test, and my Korg Nonokey 2 midi keyboard worked. You have to click on "Audio and MIDI Settings" and make sure the blue circle next to your keyboard on "active MIDI inputs" is checked. Once you have it, it works great! A bit of a delay between clicking the note and playing it, but it's managable.

If you have your own, don't bother.

Why can't this just work with a MIDI? I already have one. I just want an app that I can play for students (now that we're remotely teaching). OR, just be upfront and say you will need an "Xkey" keyboard for this app to work. This feels like you're misleading us on purpose. Boo.

I can't uninstall this app for the life of me... soo fustrating!!!

If you own a Xkey keyboard and want a simple, easy way to just play it, this works well. The Grand Piano sound has a crisp, clean sound that sounds decent through small laptop speakers if you’re just trying to play something quickly (there are a few other instruments included). It’s free and knows all the buttons on the keyboard so it’s easy to recommend.
