I recently bought a new Android air M2 and the only game I had to have was KOTOR2. However when you click on "PLAY" it crashes and nothing happens. I looked all over the web for a fix but there is nothing and no response from Aspry. Weird that such an old game cant run on a new laptop
I had KOTOR II downloaded from the appstore on my last Android a few years back. Didn't know about the restored content mod until I got to the endgame, downloaded it through the game launch pad, no problem. For that matter, the technical issues and bugs weren't even that bad without the mod (they were totally unnoticeable once I downloaded RCM, the only thing I was missing was some bits of dialogue left out from the final cut, and some improvements to textures...etc.). Now when I download the game on my new Android, the link to the Aspyr webpage that's supposed to have the Restored Content Mod doesn't actually let me download the file. Furthermore, when I open up the game, it's laggy as all get out...on the main menu screen! In fact, I have to have my WIFI turned off for the game to launch! What?! Despite e the fact that I bought this game before on another computer and had no problems getting it to work before, now for some reason I come back to find the app store version of KOTOR II an absolute mess. What's going on Aspyr? I don't see any good reason why the app store version of the game can barely function. Unacceptable! You're taking people's money and running, fix your game! Give it the quality it deserves...how much time can it really take to rectify this?!
Title says it all, when I select play at the pop up menu the game trashes. PLEASE FIX.
I played this game to death many years ago, and now looking for some nostalgia, I just played KOTOR 1 again (purchased as an app) about 5 times in a row. Now I'm trying to play KOTOR 2, I've payed my $10.99, but the game wanted to access my keystrokes outside of the application. This seemed shady, so I didn't do it. The game doesn't open at all. I'm going to have to try to get support, which of course will be impossible since the last update was 7 years ago. Uggg. I don't even know how to get my money back!
I've loved this game since it was released, albeit hastily, for the original Xbox. I've played it on past Macs, but like others have said it now crashes at the launcher. Developer needs to fix this or there needs to be a note about compatibility (if there is any at this point).
