FulGaz for Android

The content is wonderful and this is amazing idea. But… The interface, filtering, and navigation with all three platforms (Google TV, Android, Mobile) all had major quirks and anomalies. Connectivity to input devices were major problems. The program continuously asked me to reconnect to each individual device. This was extremely annoying and frustrating not to mention a waste of time. Lastly it seemed that it was a continuous half hour of troubleshooting to get everything working before you could even download the ride in order to avoid interruptions.

I want to love this app. But it doesn’t work. The overall concept of real world courses and the ability to train on race courses is amazing Unfortunately, it’s complete garbage on Android. It keeps crashing mid ride and losing all data. Someone it’s buggier than Zwift. Both Zwift and TrainerRoad are currently better options. Even Rouvy is at least functional. Super disappointing

I really love riding on FulGaz when it works. Especially when a friend is riding with you in the same pain cave, as it can feel lonely by yourself compared to Zwift. I love how it feels like I road a "real ride" in incredible locations around the globe. I love how the hills feel real. The inclines on my KICKR work just like it should and it feels more real than any other cycling software such as Zwift or RGT. Now the trouble. It's buggy. So buggy that it can ruin your ride and possibly your day if you let it. So buggy I have turned it off for months. I installed gigabit ethernet and a 50mb connection to overcome streaming issues. (it didn't solve them) I have tried it with AppleTV & Android for 2 years - and it seems like the bugs are now worse than ever. I have used MAMP to stream locally downloaded files from fast computers and drives. But it always seems like there is a problem after you are a few miles in, sweaty, clipped in and you have to abandon the ride.

Freezes continuously, or won’t start. The videos are awesome as is the variety. But execution is nil. Using a brand new gen 9 Mobile with Direto XR.

I have been using this app for several months and find the variety of rides to offer easy rides to very challenging ones excellent. They are also continuing to improve and increase a variety of options.
