Alhambra Game for Android

I have had this game for many years. Unfortunately the multiplayer does not work anymore. You can start a game with someone but it never shows them making a move. And then it just times out after 3 days and disappears. The UI for this game has never been great, but you can get used to it if u are patient. You cannot zoom in on the board anymore for some reason. This kinda helps especially when playing on a phone. That being said, the game itself is very fun. A lot of board games I play on the phone do not offer much of a challenge and quickly become boring. But the AI in this game is pretty good and beats me most of the time on the hardest setting.

Unable to choose opponent on multiplayer. App consistently froze and unable to play. Great game, but terrible deployment. Wish it would get fixed. Don’t spend money on it. Crashes in the middle of the game and runs really slow on latest Mobile Pro.

Bad game play, horrible interface, hard to use. Total waste of money.

Update: Server works now. But can’t zoom in or out of your tiles. I play with friends online. Please fix! This game, though not eye catching, was a great game and played with friends online. But for months there is No Connection To Server. Queen Games needs to update the app especially with all new iOS updates and update their server so people can play. Especially during these times of staying at home times!

I was hoping to play this game online with my family members because we own the actual board game and really enjoy it. However, the interface doesn’t show a clear way of how to do this. The interface does not follow Google user interface guidelines. For example, it doesn’t allow you to add people through the Google games center. There seems to be a way to play online but I couldn’t see a way to invite a family member. When you want to stop or pause a game it’s not evident how to navigate around. Seems like a game that was created for some other platform and then ported over without using expected kinds of ways that the Google user interface works. The visuals look good but how to play with a friend is a mystery.
