RingCentral for Android

I wish I had the time to elaborate on all the woes associated w the RingCentral (RC) app, but I do not. So this will be abbreviated. I used this system when at a former employer. Voice quality is awful from a smart phone, even if the cell service to that phone is great. The office phone service is better, as far as voice quality. However, it’s pretty lame to have RC simply hang up on clients, which happened more times than I can count…on the office line. And stupid me, somehow I convinced myself to give them another shot and subscribe, as I desired a second line to my cell. Wrong choice. First off, if you download this app, know that you’re not getting an MVP (message, video, phone) app as advertised. You’re getting a video-only app. So don’t be like me and do the logical thing of trying to add the M service and the P service within the account you just set up to make it MVP. Why? Because it will not allow you to select the “Essentials” package, as it advertises. You must select a more expensive package. You can go to the website and purchase the “Essentials”, but then you’ll find out that it does not link that package to the account you just created in the downloaded app. And no, you cannot simply log out of the Video account on your phone and log back into the app after purchasing the “Essentials”. It essentially creates a new account for you…but not one that you can log into on your phone…just on the computer. And since you cannot now login on your phone without receiving the “Credentials In Use” error…which, btw, ends your login experience…the app has become useless. And then comes the fun of trying to get refunded. No, it’s not a “No Questions Asked” type of refund situation. Save yourself the hassle. Look elsewhere.

I’m not very sold on this app. I spend most of my time out in the field on projects. If I am traveling using GPS or another app, ring central throws the incoming call to voicemail. Often it will not even ring for me to answer the call. I have had the phone in my hand without it ringing and it notifies me of a missed call. I’m not sure if this is a problem with ISO but so far I am not content. I wish my employer had another option.

Puts uninstallalled apps on your phone which means it downloads other apps into your phone. I’m guessing this is a government subsidiary 4.8 rating lies ,and that 1 million people download this is also a lie
