Morse Code Guru Lite for Android

The app itself works fine, it gives you multiple ways to insert text (tapping, two different Morse keyboards, and English keyboard) but it’s very slow. If you want to tap at over 10WPM, then you either have to pay money or watch a bunch of ads to “earn” it. How many ads you ask? One 30 second ad gives you 0.050/15 needed to unlock 60WPM. Ridiculous. What’s worse is that this is one of the few apps I’ve found that lets you actually tap out the Morse code and have it save as text. Most other apps are just the keyboard, or the tap but no saved text (just the sound). A great app ruined cause of a cash grab.

It works better then some other apps I’ve used, that’s for sure!☺️

This has got to the worst attempt at Morse code training out there. If I tapped 20 letters, they would all show up wrong. I used letters I know but the app can’t decipher at any speed. Glad it was free!

Failed to decode audio Morse. I wondered if it was too fast and looked at the upgrade options for 60 wpm… the “earn” option is just insulting, at well below minimum wage to watch the same few ads over and over. But the real kicker is, after closing the app, my entire phone was unresponsive and I had to hard reset it. I don’t know if this app is trying to make me mine Bitcoin or what, but after rebooting, it was an insta-delete. I’ll find a different app.

It would be a fun app if there was a way to get the keyboard to come up when needed.
