World Walking for Android

For someone who doesn’t have a lot of money to travel, this is perfect. It enables me to see places (virtually) that I otherwise wouldn’t see. The only thing I would like to see improved is adding other modes of travel since I don’t walk a lot so it takes me FOREVER to get through a walk. Other than that i love this app.

I like how you can view trails or other cities. I just wish you could get notifications that you reach the next landmark or know how many steps to add to get to the next landmark. The hassle of sliding until you get to the landmark is a hassle especially if the app crashes.

So sad, because this is such a cool idea. The maps don’t update when you add your steps though, which pretty much defeats the purpose.

I really loving this app! Great tracking, lots of fun walks from a quick walk around the city to literally the whole world. I’m motivated and have some friends who wanted to join up too. It looked like my map was stuck at one point. Per the developer, the map doesn’t have every point linked; it has checkpoints at intersections so if you’re on a long straight path it might not change until you hit the end of it. Once I logged enough steps the map the view jumped to show my progress.

I'm "stuck" on a certain point on the map of the Route 66 walk. I emailed support about this two weeks ago and got a response about Google Street View, which really has nothing to do with my problem. I've emailed them again and am waiting to see what the answer is this time. When I hear back, I'll change my review to either 5 stars, or 1. It's now in the app creators hands.
