upadate 2019/07: came back to update my review and rating, after almost 3 years of use (light use at home). I'm very pleased with this simple and useful tiny utility. never had any problems and works well, every time. ———— Update: I forgot to mention one Important fact that many users may not be aware of - compressing images, not only resizes the image file, but also alters it's metadata information, this information, is especially imporatant in digital photos that isn't visible using Android's Finder, such as date, time, GPS location, and many others. you may notice the change, while browsing photos in gallery mode - you'd notice that a photo has "moved" from it's previous chronological location, within an event, by gaining a new date of the compression date. So make sure to have backups of your original images, if they may contain inportant information (you should have backup regardless :-). – Just to clarify, the mentioned above is not specific to this app, or file type - It's meant to be. There are apps out there, that can help with perserving metadata, in case yoyure wondering. ———— A very light (only 4.3 MB) and great image compression utility tool. Helps you to compress images while carefully doing so, and you can continue compressing even more, while testing the results before saving the final image, as a copy, or replace the original. Interface is clean and simple to use and understand, no ads, no clutter - Highly recommend it!
As a web developer, I used this app all the time to compress PNG’s and JPG’s. Unfortunately, the developer hasn’t supported this app by testing it with the lastest Android OS. Now it will not function at all. Very disappointed.
I ran the program across 50 pictures taken with my Android and a trail cam. The total was 95MB of picture files. The program reduced the file sizes 1-10%. Looking for another program to send the pictures on email. But it was easy to use.
I create websites with WordPress and always looking for lossless image resize tool that may be better than what I have. Speed is essential with Wordpress, but image quality is also necessary. I have a free app that works better-called Compress and I originally found it on App store. Compress brings images down even lower in size than "Lossless Photo Squeezer." The name Lossless Photo Squeezertold me this has to be the best. So why use it when it does not bring an image down below 52kb when my other app will take same image down to 39kb. I hate to throw money away. 52KB is not really acceptable for web speed. Unfortunately everyone can write how great something is, but it’s not always better than what you have, even though the description makes the App look like the best lossless image resizer developed.
This application is well worth it. It allows you to see the different appearances as you compress so that you know exactly how far to go. It does take a little while to load in a couple hundred images, but that is expected. It exports the images so fast though. Overall a great application!
