Tomb Raider Reloaded NETFLIX for Android

Ahh! Wonderful, a game that nearly looks like it aspired to something good, but rather ended up a micro-transaction bid wearing bits and pieces from other, much better games. I guess the formula was: take a somewhat popular IP (on a discount), create a game with glaring design flaws, but just presentable enough visually to grant the appearance of effort, and design it to be tailored towards slowly chiding people to spend money. Unfortunately, when you have a base game like this, sans actual micro-transactions (omitted for the “Netflix” version of the original game), it becomes something worse…somehow.

The developer should do away with the annoying IAP remnants. Also I got bugs.

The Netflix version gets rid of all the free to play paywalls and money tactics while letting you earn in game and play everything with your subscription. Netflix is killing it in the mobile department! Consoles next? 🫡🌟

The game itself is really fun. It is a bit grindy but that’s not a big deal. However, a word of caution to anyone that is playing using their Netflix account. I had mine synced to a secondary account on our Netflix account and on a lark thought “I don’t need this profile on the Netflix app because we only watch on the main one” so I deleted it. I didn’t realize the magnitude of my mistake until I opened the Tomb Raider app to play and it said there was a network error. It was then I realized what I’d done. The most unfortunate thing about it is that I inadvertently deleted my game data that I had work over a year on achieving and now I’m having to start back over from square one. DO NOT DO WHAT I DID. You’ll never recover. I’m extremely annoyed that Netflix doesn’t have any backups or logins or anything else that could mitigate this type of error for its players.
