This is a wonderful program for young people to learn nursing skills for todays world
My progress isn’t being kept, I keep getting kicked out or the screen for a free trial pops up. I already purchased the unlimited program…. Content is good and helpful, but I keep getting locked out of features
I passed the NCLEX in 75 questions. Most nurses live and swear by UWorld, but Uworld is very expensive for the broke college student. This app is an excellent alternative. It’s $21 for one month, I studied with this app for 1 month and passed. You get 2600 practice questions along with nice resources such as videos on various topics. You can use this app on your phone or the computer, which is nice. The biggest thing this app did for me was retrain me to read NCLEX-style questions again, because some questions are very tricky and could be missed simply for misreading. There are a handful of dumb questions, but the majority of the questions are well designed and in line with what you will see on NCLEX. The rationales are thorough as well, which is important. My biggest complaint with the app is the “Possibility of passing” feature. Although it’s in its beta stage, it told me I was “not likely” to pass the NCLEX, which only served to my detriment as I was already very anxious about this exam. I was getting 53% of my questions correct, which the app thought to be poor. I proved the app wrong by passing in 75 questions. So all in all, it’s a good service and a great alternative to more pricey NCLEX review services such as UWorld or Kaplan. The Android app itself has a few bugs, but the developers are constantly fixing bugs as they appear.
I highly recommend this for study material they really care
I appreciate the AMOUNT of questions and study techniques that are included in this app and can say that they are very helpful. Rationales are also concise, clear, and helpful. The problem I have is the confidence interval associated with this app in correlation with the NCLEX and how accurate it is. Also, admitted by the team, they divulge approx 40% of their questions are SATA, which is fine because it is explained that this is a specific area where students need to work on, so that’s okay. However, if you’re struggling with SATA and it destroys your confidence, then look no further than to be extremely frustrated with 12-15 questions IN A ROW that are SATA. That is soul crushing and really discouraging. It was also stated after one of the questions that the NCLEX is comprised of about 20% SATA, which was confirmed by the staff. It is also admitted by staff that the amount of SATA that are included in this app are unrealistic compared to the NCLEX. If you want your confidence to be crushed even more, then familiarize yourself with NurseBarb. NurseBarb is very condescending and patronizing to students who comment on questions they get incorrect and how their thought process was in answering questions. If we get something wrong, we want to express ourselves and get a response that should reflect the behavior of a coach; not a nurse who eats her young. At first, I thought some of her responses were appropriate and tough love is necessary because the students can be rude and immature, but even still, we are paying for this service and want to pass and become terrific nurses. Then, I got to a point where I would get a question incorrect and expect NurseBarb to scold me for something. That’s not okay. I don’t want to feel bad about getting something wrong and made to feel stupid and insignificant, which is how Barb made me feel; and other students wrote that they feel the same way. I made sure to read others responses to make sure that I wasn’t in the wrong with NurseBarb. I need a coach, not someone to make me feel awful for answering a question incorrectly. Definitely “eat your young” vibes. Also, before buying, READ THE TERMS. It is advertised that you’ll get a guarantee of passing or else you get your money back. It is not stated, however, that in order to get your money back, you have to exhaust every function of the app. This includes answering over 3000 questions and using all their features. I am not sure if this includes using all their study materials as well (videos, etc.). THIS IS FAIR and you should be using everything in the app to study, but can be misleading to those who don’t do everything and are upset after failing, only to find out that they won’t get a refund because they didn’t answer all 3000+ questions. Also, I think I remember terms stating that it’s only the last 3 payments that you make will be refunded, which means that if you’ve been using their service for longer than that time, you won’t get it all refunded. I have mixed feelings about this app. My advice is to use the material because it’s helpful, expect 40% of your questions to be SATA, ignore NurseBarb being rude, condescending, and patronizing, and try to do everything in the entire app before taking the NCLEX just in case you fail.
