Kinomap for Android

I couldn’t get the video to play. It indicated my connection was okay, just start pedaling. I’d pedal but, nothing would happen.

I tied both Zwift and Kinomap and quickly tired of the video game look of Zwift. Kinomap let’s me tour the world while riding indoors while it is 100 degrees outside. I’m a huge fan. Thanks Kinomap developers! Keep up the good work!!

I have been a user now for about 3 years. I live in a area where cycling on the road can be a bit dangerous. Since becoming a subscriber, I have had the luxury of riding in places all over the globe. With the new GPS tracks feature, I have been able to recreate rides from my past racing days, plus using Strava to create routes and upload them to Kinomap; you have a great training tool for any upcoming race. One other great thing is the excellent customer service. The Kinomap team has been very quick to respond to any questions regarding use of their application.

Kinomap is sort of like YouTube for the major cardio exercises such as running, cycling, rowing and more. This is both it’s strength and weakness. The video quality varies significantly but it’s easy to sort by say high quality videos and to save your favorites. At the same time there are videos from every corner of the world, most of which I will never visit. A huge benefit is that since I do both indoor rowing and cycling, I can do both with the same app. If you screen mirror with an Google TV you can put the videos on a big screen and use your Android or Mobile as the dashboard. I have a 50” TV on an articulating wall mount so I can use it with both machines. The developers are continually updating the app and the customer service is very responsive. My biggest complaint is that even though I have high speed internet, I am unable to stream at the highest quality, but the app allows you to download videos. I use it every day; it makes the boring enjoyable.

I use this with my wahoo kickr snap and love it. I prefer real roads to computer animation and love the challenge mode that lets me move through the video at my simulated actual pace. The sort filters make it easy to find videos of various lengths and difficulty and once you find a few favorite videographers you’re all set. I bought an annual membership on sale and that made it much less than Rouvy, which I also really like, so pricing became the key factor.
