Converter to MP3 for Android

I seems to imply that it is free, but it’s not. You need to pay to use it or you only get 3 conversions/day, and only to mp3 format.

Beware! This app implies to be free, but it is not. I hate wasting my time. Be careful.

I have the most current version of the Android OS. I purchased this so I could send my son some MP3s while he is abroad. (I record in .WAV format and needed a program to convert my files to MP3. I paid the $4.99 to purchase this program. It is two days later and this program continues to stop downloading and fails to install. In the end I have had to purchase a second MP3 converter app. I have filed for a refund. This is a total piece of junk. And yes, the other program I purchased downloaded and installed just fine.

This app suddenly stopped working -- it wouldn't open an audio file to convert it. What was up? I knew it had worked at one point. Well, it turns out that (at least on my Android running 10.10.5) this app will not recognize or open audio files with the .aif extension. If you just change that extension to .aiff, the program will open and convert an .aiff file, and all appears to be well. Of course, .aiff and .aif files are the same thing. Some programs (like Logic Pro) will export an .aif with a three-letter extension, while others (including Final Cut Pro) will export with the four letter extension. I rather resent the time I wasted figuring this out, and am posting this review so others don't waste time. It's unfortunate that the developer made us jump through this extra hoop -- and it might be the reason some users have concluded that the program just doesn’t work. It's such a basic issue that it makes me wonder if there are other quirks or issues I haven't discovered yet. Fix this, and it has the potential to be a good program.

The best thing this product did was Exit From MP-3 Converter. Exited the program beautifully. Did not do a lick of work while the program was active, but had a nice smooth exit into Safari. I applied to Google for a refund.
