This game is nearly impossible to see clearly and it does not give you the ability to change the background. Recommend against buying it.
Agree with other rating that colors are hard to see. Nowhere near the functionality of the original game. You have to constantly click on the flag button to switch between uncover and flag modes. Can’t click on adjacent numbers to rapidly clear an entire area.
hard to see. colors not distinct.
The update to version 1.0.1 fixed a lot of things. However the game engine itself is broken. I encountered a game where a 3 could only touch two mines, and a 1 was touching two mines. So this has to be fixed before the game is playable. Screenshot: i.imgur (dot) com/tj9lpLs.jpg PS> I think the requirement for OSX 10.8 is related to the connection to Game Agent.
If you have an Android, your top row WILL be visible (sorry all Android air and Android users! That's AWFUL!) Here's the thing: you WANT to play the MS Minesweeper you used and loved in years past. Problem is, this isn't it. Once you've gotten used to the color scheme (annoying if you ask me), and right-clicking on a magic trackpad (if you have one), it isn't half bad. Except, it isn't half good either. Too often the game begins with a bomb - a no-no in the MS version we know and love. What maddens me more than anything, though, is this "GAME OVER" screen that comes in front of 75% of the opened window when you lose. So, you can't see where the bombs were, how you did, nothing. It's unmovable! (to get the feel of this, view the app's screenshot #4 and just imagine a window that big covering your playing screen, that can't be moved.) If that isn't enough, the medium seems harder than the expert, but we can only guess because they don't tell you the square-to-bomb ratio. Don't get this app if you are looking for the old minesweeper we wasted so many hours mastering. Sadly, I haven't seen anything much better in the App store as of yet… compromise or move on. These are the options at this point.
