Hands down the worst app on my device. They take your money sign you out and don’t allow you to any access. Don’t ask it to restore iTunes purchases it will lock your device up. Thanks for taking my money.
Since they switched, I have had to send “proof” of my itunes purchase every year. Now I get a message that says download new app version, which I already have.
I have been reading a lot of digital magazines during the pandemic and recently decided to resubscribe to New Mexico Magazine, having let my hard copy subscription lapse some years ago. Digital magazines go different routes — some through their own site/app, some through third party sites/apps. This is by far the worst interface I have experienced for a digital magazine. The others give you the feeling that you are reading the magazine, just in digital form. This one has a popout sidebar table of contents that lists titles and (irrelevant) page numbers but no descriptions at all. You only find out the topic by clicking, which takes you to a disembodied “page” with only that article. You never see the entire page as you would with a hard copy. This is the only digital magazine where I wish I had subscribed to the print edition instead.
Ok. Second time this has happened. I pay for the online subscription. I can’t access my new magazines anymore. So basically I am paying for a service you won’t let me access. Also, I subscribed for years and STILL do not have access to all my older magazines I paid for access to. This app and organization repeatedly fail me as a customer and basically take my money while denying me service.
This app has given me nothing but headaches for the past two years, including making access impossible in December and January because of a glitch that no one seemed to be able to fix, even after multiple phone calls to the magazine itself. This latest debacle, ably chronicled by many other subscribers, is the last straw. I am going to unsubscribe. Enough is enough.
