Withings for Android

The most recent updates to the app have made it less reliable and less functional. The app has more issues staying connected with my scale, thermometer and BP monitor. I have had to log in several times recently and it has taken hours for data to reliably sync. The app used to give a specific number on any of the timelines, for example on weight, when you were looking at a particular period like month, quarter or year you got the pounds gained or lost. Now it shows up or down trend or stable—which is much less useful than a specific number. It’s also quite frequently wrong about whichever period you happen to be viewing.

App used to be great. They tried to upgrade but clearly did not test for “real” user scenarios. Now it’s aweful. Was going to upgrade to their nextgen scale but now will have to find another, if you can’t get a simple app tested properly you clearly have some major engineering problems. Staying away from this company going forward.

I can no longer pinch to zoom and see all the data points easily and weight trends. This is mirroring the very basic viewing of Google health. complete regression to what use to be an awesome app. Might need to consider other options

New update has made the app and scale unusable. Historical data is gone, device pairing is gone, and all attempts to re-sync returns a generic “error” with no recourse. Withings has bricked my scale and seems like the issue is widespread.

As of Dec 2022, this app changed to be almost useless Instead of showing actual weights measured on a daily basis then a moving average (which was very useful, it now seems to average everything So a monthly view shows average for each month - which in my case was pretty much a flat line, whereas previously it provided useful and motivating info This is a BIG step backward
