I really dig this bass library. I was in search something similar to my COPIOUS bass VSTs in a convenient app and this had the best reviews. Although not NEARLY as deeply sampled or scripted as a bass library for Kontakt or Ample Sound, these samples are great and retain most of the authentic bass aura that you donāt get with many keyboard bass patches. I wonāt gripe about adding scripting to simulate the ranges and register of a real bass, as I know that this requires lots of time and investment & is a bit much to expect from a $15 app. But, I will suggest an update adding adjustable layers for all of the resonant, release, & fret noise idiosyncrasies of a bass to make the sound less sterile, adding āstring tapā & atonal mute samples assignable to a single key, MIDI CC, & velocity layer as an option for rhythmic players, optionally integrating the āhard fingerā samples with their buzzing into the regular bass libraries to generate even more tonal variation on each string (round robin would be nice, but I understand limitations), include a few assignable effects (up and down slides, slap fox, etc.) that can also be triggered from the touchscreen & assigned to aftertouch for those of use without a feature rich midi controller, and, lastly, add āslapā & mute as tab options for all electric basses; offering the ability to include them as a top or bottom velocity layers. Iād gladly shell out more cash to purchase these updates, as I really have no other alternatives other than bringing my MUSE Receptor with Kontakt out of retirement or settling for my Tyros 5ās bland bass patches. Thanks for this great app!
ā¦for both iOS and Android apps and software. I use it to control orange tree samples virtual guitars. It allows me to play those guitars with many types of articulations, especially hammer ons, independent slides and bends per string, harmonics, and more! Itās like having a linnstrument!
Just a great sounding bass app, or a āfrettedā midi controller app for those more familiar with fretboards than keyboards. So fun to play I rarely get out my real bass guitar anymore.
Itās a bass app, but the strings are obviously the wrong tones and labels. Standard bass tuning is E A D G lowest string to highest. That is not what this app shows, the app is DGCF. I choose 4 Strings, and Iāve searched the options. There is no setting for what note the lowest string is. I paid money for this app and the most basic fundamental thing is wrong. UPDATE: I found that if I open the options menu, I can then SCROLL the display of strings, and make it E A D G. There is no indication that you can do that, but magically, surprise, the interface becomes scrollable when you open Options. The option menu didnāt contain anything about that. Anyway, I wish there were other display options for the way the fretboard looks.
All the iFretless sounds and interfaces are fantastic. Guitar could use an update, actually it would be very helpful if all 4 had the same Settings format. Love the string interface and sounds. Velocity is truly remarkable! Well worth the 30$.
