Improvisation equals improvement. This is my most essential guitar app. I went from playing very comfortable rhythm to being able to record full tracks and compose lead guitar pats. The last piece of the puzzle for me in creating music. Also the entry into the next level of guitar mastery. Ultimate guitar this app along with this are the ultimate training tools. Easily get hooked on basic music theory. Love love love this app. Thank you but please keep creating new loops. There are way too few.
Using this app with my BOSS WAZA-AIR headphones I can solo in any mode, in any key for hours, all without disturbing anyone. I cannot recommend this app enough.
I would have scored the app higher if they have set it up so I could cancel within the App Store but you can’t. It’s very difficult to just cancel. That’s not good. Please cancel.
This app has the potential to be so much more, but is currently really limited. I’m pretty disappointed considering the other apps that come in the Lead Guitar Starter Kit. If you’re a beginner wanting to practice improvising over blues and rock in basic natural keys this might work for you, but nothing you can’t find if you know how to search for it. If you’re a professional looking for a good practice tool? This really won’t cut it. Not having access to banking tracks in every key is for one a huge drawback (there are no settings for any flat out sharp key signatures). You don’t have a clear song form for the tracks to follow harmonically. Recording quality is not great and I can even notice inconsistencies in the tempo. There are only 5 tracks available, 2 more you can get for free, but that’s not enough for something you’re paying for already. This could’ve been great to pair with Modal Buddy too if they had included the modal tracks, but each one has to be purchased when a YouTube search can give you a way better result. Their other apps are good, I really like Drum Beat+ I’m recommending it to my students. Modal buddy is a fun course to learn modes, and Lick Master, even though it only offers blues and rock licks, is valuable for anyone wanting more licks to work through. Very disappointed.
