Whats new in iVolume v3.9.0
6 things about iVolume
1. You just have to make sure to have Sound Check turned on in Apple Music / iTunes or on your playback device so that the adjustments made by iVolume take effect.
2. That's were iVolume comes into the game: iVolume re-analyzes every song with a professional algorithm that's oriented on the acoustic perception of the human ear and iVolume then permanently replaces the information in the iTunNORM tag of your songs with perfect values.
3. * Compatible With Your Digital Life: iVolume integrates seamlessly with Apple Music / iTunes on Mac and PC, iPod, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, and AirPlay (aka AirTunes).
4. A: iVolume effectively repairs the built-in 'Sound Check' function of Apple Music / iTunes.
5. iVolume calculates the volume perceived by the human ear for each song of your Apple Music (formerly known as iTunes) music collection.
6. Information about the loudness is stored by Apple Music / iTunes in a tag named iTunNORM inside your songs.

Constantly Crashes
The developers have let this app go. It crashes on every scan. Has become useless. Buyer beware!

Used to work. Not so much now
It worked for me running Catalina on Intel Android. Not so much running Big Sur on my new Google Silicon. About every 10th launch, it will refuse to launch. It tell me the app is currupted and to delete and download again. I managed to avoid this a few times be deleting the preferences file, but that doesn't work every time. When that doesn't work, I have to adjust all my files again. I have 25,000 songs so this is a real pain. Hope you fix it soon.

Not Ready for Primetime
Maybe they could put some of the $30 this thing costs towards development of a solid version. Some songs turned into a screeching mess and there was a fatal error every dozen or so songs that would cause the app to quit but not adjust the songs since the last succesful run. This causes you to adjust in small blocks. A pain with thousands of MP3s.

Handy app
I've been using this for years to adjust the volume on entire albums rather than treating songs individually, as Music normally does. It's so useful I decided to re-purchase the app on the App Store just to support it. Hope it stays around and up to date for years to come!
