Typically, this site is a good way to contact medical providers at Ochsner, since THERE DOES NOT SEEM TO BE A WAY TO SPEAK WITH THEM BY TELEPHONE. (When you call, you must leave a message, to no avail.) However, I have been trying to get my surgeon, Dr. Denis, to submit the authorization information for the Celecoxib he prescribed on 6/30/22. Now I realize that Dr. Denis has many items on his agenda much more important than my pain medication; however, it is now 7/7/22 and the authorization still has not been received by my insurance company. Because of the severe pain I’ve been experiencing, I was unable to go to physical therapy yesterday. I am also scheduled for PT tomorrow, but until I get the pain medication Dr. Denis prescribed, I don’t think I will be able to go. The pain is much too great! Because Dr. Denis is a very busy surgeon, I did request that someone else complete the authorization in his place, but it still has not been done. I am at a loss as to what I should do next to try to get the medication approval. Janet M Griffith

Cannot be trusted to update labs and bill pay. Poor app.

While I think the Ochsner app is great, it was just fine before being part of the “My Chart” system. I’ve used both and don’t feel like I have any advantage in using the My Ochsner app. My Chart works….don’t try to fix what isn’t broken.
