You can Barely progress without paying money… but you cant. The game just removes the ability to pay for no reason.

Special edition vs Regular Lost World
Only difference is special edition has all characters unlocked and there is no p2w. However all the upgrades, prizes and all is the same cost as regular lost world. In lost world you can p2w if you want to but you have to pay or unlock the prem characters.
So get this if you want to have all characters unlocked and don’t want to p2w. Get lost world if you want to f2p or p2w. And in pvp all enemies are bots not real people in all versions.
Imo the free lost world version is best unless you can’t control your spending on games.
