My SmartBike for Android

Old app was great. If you just bought a bike with this battery and are trying to figure out the app, take the bike back while you still can and get a different e-bike. Too late for me as bad the bike for several months before old app was shelved for Mahle app. Mahle app does not work. If it seems like it is, trust me, it won’t continue. I’ve had all the same issues other here have. Had to take to dealer for blinking purple light and bike not working at all. Got it fixed where bike will operate, but I cannot use app so I have no idea about battery life and not always sure what speed I’m on. App keeps trying to get me to set up my bike from new again. I do that, but still won’t work. Please, please, please bring back the old app.

All I want is to know the distance , battery percentage and range when I take a ride on my Orbea ebike. It is incredibly frustrating to try to get that info. It will ask me to link my already linked bike. It will ask me to link a pulsometer. There is no obvious way to get the info I want although I occasionally stumble upon it. I asked a technician at an ebike store and he couldn’t figure it out either. It is a poorly designed and badly functioning app.

Junk it and start over. Go back to ebikemotion. What were they thinking?!

This app thinks my bike is a different bike (but made by the same OEM). It was correct in the ecobikemotion app and I would like to be able to change or override. I hope they work through issues like this. I already read about the progress on navigation forthcoming so I will not comment on that here with the expectation that follows. Update: June 1 2022: The app will not load. It crashes at open every time. I restarted my Android and also updated the iOS but the app is still crashing.

Not worth taking up space on your phone.
