Dr Johnston was very thorough during our appointments today. Did not rush and was very open to answering questions we had.

MyChart ran much better, had a better interface, and meant I could have all of my care team in one place. EPIC knows what they are doing and Christ decided to spend money to “fix” something that was nowhere near broken. As a patient that pays bills, I don’t love this use of resources. That being said, I appreciate being able to schedule on the app and nothing functions poorly. I do wish I didn’t have to scroll down when writing a message in order to send it - especially because the cancel and send buttons are opposite of MyChart so I find myself accidentally cancelling more than I’d like. It’s not terrible and it’s not fantastic.

I would have liked to keep “my chart” since all the networks locally use it. It keeps medical information on one platform. Very hard for elderly to navigate multiple platforms. I also keep getting text notifications that I have messages and none are found in the app.

I enjoy many of the conveniences of the app for both physician and patient, but my elderly parents are moving to our area soon and I believe this app will be too confusing for them to use.
