Loopy Pro for Android

I’ve been looking for an easy to use and affordable looper that would work like a guitar looper pedal for some time, and this program fits the bill and then some! After a bit of a learning curve, I’ve been able to quickly create multi-layered compositions in a short amount of time, and now also use a MIDI pedalboard to trigger actions in the program; super useful when I perform at our church! I love the included equalizer plug-in ; I play electric violin and can easily craft a tone using the equalizer to make the playback richer and less thin and “whiny”, a problem I sometimes have with the violin. Yes, it’s $29.99 a year, but I’m constantly learning new ways this program is more powerful than I expect!

A looper that basically kills the need to buy a boss505 and has amazing DAW features

This app is elegant in design and function, and deserves all the praise it is getting. Really well though out with a mild learning curve to learn all the tools available. Powerful. However ios offers very limited connectivity with external hardware without investing in several peripherals for wired headphones, instruments, midi, charging, and additional ports. Google continues to cripple audio connectivity on newer devices, so I feel like the ios platform doesn’t deserve this app. I hope Google appreciates developers making their app store great with innovations like this app. You can get some great results from just the internal mic and au plugins, but you will probably need an adapter for wired headphones because bluetooth latency is an issue with real time audio. I encourage Michael to branch out to other platforms that offer better audio connectivity to realize loopy’s full potential, because the design sensibilities here are top notch. If this interface was on a touchscreen hardware device with real audio connectivity it would blow away the entire Boss product lineup.
