Takes to much to get energy only choices you got is to wait or buy them I don’t like that
Hardly get to play anything, just as you start every task uses up all energy with-in 2 minutes. As other reviews have stated- they want you to spend real money to actually play. It’s like reading a novel at one word per day.
Like nearly every other reviewer says, this game is fun, the story and graphics are wonderful but the energy system ruins it. I dropped Murder in the Alps for the same reason. I hoped this game would be more reasonable but it is just as bad. I am totally willing to spend money to play a game but there has to be a decent return on my investment in the form of game play. I bought over 700 energy and it lasted, maybe, 20 minutes. The developers give the same response to all the negative feedback about the energy usage. I checked out the Facebook page and there are random ways to win energy but they are just lucky guesses and a few people win. Looks like a chance every week or two. And to suggest using collectibles or achievements as a way to get energy is ridiculous. Most give about 10 energy, enough to find two objects. But there must be people willing to pay big bucks to enjoy this game for more than a few minutes because clearly the developers have no interest in changing the workings of it. I suspect I will move into something else shortly because I am not going to pay $20 to play for an hour or so.
Not a bad game, nice graphics. But when the game Logs you out every 200 energy it gets obnoxious fast. I can’t play more then 7mins before it sets me back a few choices and makes me use more energy on choices I already made. Is this on purpose to make people buy more energy? I emailed customer service and they gave me another 200 energy but the same issue kept happening. It’s hard to stay interested in a story line that moves like a traffic stop.
First, let me say that I love the game so far. The big issue is the amount of energy it takes and the length of time it takes to earn it. It takes a full 24 hours to earn 200 energy. Just to play a mini game cost 50 energies, 25% of the daily earned for a 24 hour period. For choosing one dialog it is 10 energies. To watch a comic is 30. To click on an object in a hidden object game is 5 energies apiece which adds up to a lot (more like 50+ energies. I will often buy energy in a game from time to time but it is no use in this game. You would be out of energy fairly soon after you stocked up. I refuse to buy energy. The developers are shooting themselves in the foot by having the energy in game use cost so much that nobody in their right mind would buy it. I am tempted to delete the app and I only just got it yesterday. There is no way you can play the game in a day unless you pay upwards of $100 or maybe more. Why would anyone buy energy when five minutes later it is gone? The ads, when you can watch them, only give you lightbulbs for hints. I guess I haven’t been playing long enough because I haven’t even gotten the option to watch an ad. You can earn energy by clicking on collectibles or by achievements but you have to get a set of 3 collectibles to earn 15 energies and you earn about 10 or so for an achievement which aren’t that many. This is nowhere near what is needed. It is laughable. If you have to make a decision that you don’t have enough energy for, you can’t always back out and go exploring for collectibles either. You are stuck until you have enough energy. It is FRUSTRATING! To the developers: have you even looked at the reviews? Every one of the reviews mentions that although the person likes the game, they can’t play due to lack of energy and the time it takes. I expect to get a stock answer like I have seen in all the answers from the developer, which stinks.
