I was gifted a 50c through my work and have spent countless hours trying to get the camera app to function. The app will sometimes show a preview of the camera, but as soon as you attempt anything else (record, settings, files, etc) I get the “spinning wheel of death” and it simply locks up. Since this has happened “out of the box”, I’m unable to adjust any settings for the camera. Why Sena locks all camera setting adjustments to an app that doesn’t work is beyond me. I wish there was an alternative to at least setting the camera up and recording, but there is not. I have even tried manually recording through the device itself and checking the SD card on a computer, but there is nothing there. Since the app is the only way to make use of the camera, and the app does not work, the camera is useless. I can however pair the 50c to my phone and use it for music. But then again, I could have gotten a different (cheaper) device to do that.
This app is useless for anything other than camera settings. Downloaded in hopes of easy way to transfer pictures to Android, No Go! If you connect it will be pure dumb luck if app can even find the media on the SD card. Best to,look elsewhere for transfer of video and pictures from SD to long term storage
This app only worked literally the first day I got it. After that, it’s no good. Headset constantly disconnects from the phone, because you need to have it connected through WiFi instead of Bluetooth for it to work. And the app freezes a lot. It also doesn’t let you delete anything, idk why. And also, you’ll record, think you’re recording and press stop when you’re done. Next thing you know, not a single thing was recorded. And with the constant freezing, it’s not worth even using. I wish I could return my 50c, never again will buy a Sena product again.
Sena tech is absolute garbage. Trash. Not worth it. Works randomly. Camera turns on/off by itself (10cpro). Upload time is worse than 1:1. That’s if you can manage to connect it to the app. Why can’t you just plug it into a computer and download the video there????? I’ve had more headache time than proper operating time. Looking for something better
