Parental Control App- FamiSafe for Android

We tried using this for our 14 yr old son to keep him off his phone with a screen time limit and a down time schedule. I wish that it would unblock certain apps like Life360 or still show their location when it’s in downtime or screen time limit reached. I wouldn’t recommend the app because of all the bugs and I wasted $60 on it. I do like how you can monitor their activities such as adult content. Don’t waste the money though

After downloading the app and purchasing a three months subscription for two devices I had nothing but inconsistent results. When setting the daily schedule and designating times the device would not be able to be used we found that it was inconsistent and more times than not did not work. Also after Blocking or unblocking apps it did not work as well. Even after downloading the program on my personal laptop to control the phones. I requested a refund after only 1 week and was denied. Even though I communicating it was a issue with the app not just a change of mind. Then one of the devices disconnected very easily from the program a second device I went back-and-forth for two weeks with customer support not being able to remove the program. Which left my daughter Phone unprotected and not able to download a new parental app. There was no resolve on their end just run around and no answers. I ended up having to factory reset my daughters phone and not being able to back up the previous profile so my daughter lost a lot of personal items. Think twice before purchasing!

Kids keep on disabling it. Not useful at all.

They charge an annual fee through the app store, then also bill quarterly through the app. I just discovered this after 7 months of double paying.

I’ve purchased the year for my kids devices & I’ve had nothing but problems since I downloaded it! I’ve been in contact w/customer service several times, via chat, email & call! They’ve asked for screenshots which I have provided & still no resolution. I’ve had to remove the VPN several times in order for their devices to work & I shouldn’t have to do that!! Contacted CS again via phone & asked for a full refund, I’m one day shy of their return policy & still waiting to hear back if they’ll issue a refund. I’m definitely tech savvy so that’s not the problem…but this particular application is NOT it!!! FamiSafe y’all need to revamp this app b/c I’ve had nothing but issues!!
