I had a lot of trouble finding a good way to play BluRay movies on my Android, till I found this app. There’s even a free version of the app on the web that puts a little watermark in the middle of the screen - you can double check that it all works fine with your movies/player. I found that the Google version allows family sharing, while the developer website version is a bit cheaper but only grants a single license. I chose to get it through the App store since we need it on a couple different computers. I am happy to say it works great! Exactly same thing as the demo but no watermark. I am using a very low-cost Pioneer BDR-XD05B bluray drive, and it works with no issues at all with my library of movies. Now I can plug in the portable player and watch a Blu-ray on my computer, no problems anymore! It’s really nearly impossible to watch modern BluRay DRMed videos from the big Hollywood producers without buying a program that has a proper license, save yourselves a lot of trouble and give this one a chance. Works great!
I purchased the LG BP50NB40 slim BluRay player for my 2018 Android Mini and wanted to play the latest Blu Ray 4K UHD movies like Tom Cruise American Made movie. It didn't work. But it would play regular blu ray HD movie like Wall Street. So I bought the PRO version of this software and it also did not work, complaining about the format and ejecting the 4K UHD movie. So I guess I need to get my refund from the Google App store. I was hoping this software would work.
I am haveing the same problem. I downloaded the trial off the Macgo website and it was great. I paid a ridiculous amount of money for thiis on the app store and it refuses to read my discs. Sometimes it says to unplug the drive and try again. Sometimes it says disc verification failed. Even on the same disc. I really, really, really wish I’d checked these reviews, because this was a lot of money for a useless app. I have emailed Macgo support and not heard back. I tried to report a problem to the app store, but Google doesn’t care. After much back and forth with the developer, who I contacted by email when I wrote this review, we’ve determined that what is listed under standard here is actual the pro version of the app. Standard is v.2.x.x.x while Pro is v3.3, as you see in this listing. The actual standard version, downloaded from the developer’s website, works fine for me. Which is great, because that’s all I wanted. If you’ve tried a trial of standard and want to purchase, DO NOT BUY IT HERE. Buy it directly from the developer. I thought buying from Google would be the easiest thing, and boy was I wrong. I’m amending my stars based on how responsive the developer was.
I really wish I read the review before I perchased this. I downloaded a trial from a website and it worked perfectly. So I decided to buy through the Android app store because its a great way to manage purchase apps if I transfer computers or whatever. Unfortunatly this version gave me issues and would not work at first. After playing it on the trial version and then switching over to this paid version it started working. I haven’t had it long enough to know if this is going to be a continual problem or if this was just a one time issue. Hopefully it’s just a one time issue.
I was stupid enough to spend this ridiculous amount of money for a player. I have now tried more than 7 blu-ray files and not a single one has worked. some on the files would play the video at an extremely slow rate. not a single blu-ray file would play the audio. what am doing wrong with a $50 dollar app??? beyond a waste of money in my opinion.
