I have had the lights for a little while and have had issue with the app and the bulbs. Most recently all the lights go on at 3:14AM with 100% brightness. This has been happening for weeks. I have submitted support requests via the app, and email but no response. The app does not offer any type of action log to display these random times the lights are going on, it just happens to wake me up every night.
I have a theater which has 8 light bulbs i wanted to automate. Bought a Sengled Hub, added to the Network. First, Alexa cannot find it. Second: I reset the bulbs by on/off 19 times. Tried it 7 different times with no luck. I was them prompted to scan the code on each bulb which reflected on a screen. Since all 8 bulbs were listed on that screen, I could no longer see the ‘NEXT’ button to proceed with installation. Finally… not sure what I pressed, it tried adding 1 bulb… waited 5 minutes to be extremely disappointed again. I had all 8 bulbs serial numbers listed on that screen and now I cannot get back to it. Tried to add them again after resetting the bulbs (which by the way never flashed as suggested in the help text! This is the hardest snd most frustrating Smart Bulb addition I’ve encountered by far. I have Lutron, Kasa, Feit etc…. they all were easy & pleasurable. How can I return these bulbs and get rid of them forever!!! PALLLEEEAASE!!
App is worthless if you have zigbee devices and you already have a zigbee hub. It only works with sengled hubs. All of this is logical, but wanted others to be aware.
I think the main obstacle people have when installing these are the pre-requisites for the light bulb to work like 2.4GHZ wifi connection etc. After spending an hour configuring my wifi and trying to connect to the light bulbs, I say it’s worth it. Overall functional application for the light bulbs without a hub.
Bought 20! Bulbs and can control individually, but you need Scenes to have full control of settings. The scene do not save. And you cannot delete the default ones. There is an error that says “The operation failed. Please try again” Should have bought the Philips. More money but I’ve heard they WORK as described…
