To make it work with AquaCheck7 strip you need to take the test strip out of the water colored side up with water staying on the strip and wait 15 seconds per instructions. After I started doing it right I completely agree with strip reading of the app. Even if you disagree, it gives the baseline. Super! Add the reading visualization with charts and developer can start charging for it.

I always have trouble identifying which color is closest to the one on the chart. The app quickly matches the color and gives you the appropriate results. You can also save the results which is very useful. I wish I knew about this app sooner. It’s well worth the $1.99.

The developer fixed the save/crash issue about a year ago. I use this app all the time. Whatever accuracy issues it may have I blame on the test strips themselves—I always re-test my ph and sanitizer levels with a liquid kit and find that while the app is right on with the strip colors, the strip colors often vary from the liquid kit results. Perhaps when the strips get old they lose accuracy. But the app is great, much easier than trying to eyeball stuff from a color chart.
