I don’t usnerstand why you have to have one and I When I got on the app and I read you haves to have a Google TVs I was like😑

Doesn’t work for what you need

This does not work for Google TV karaoke because you can’t have the microphone app open while in karaoke app. I got the impression that is what it was supposed to do.
