Works great on my LG G7, but on my Android 12 mini the app is a pain. It requires location to connect to the camera’s Wi-Fi (why?) and won’t load any recorded videos to view or download unless I turn off cellular data. I’ve also had times when there was no audio in videos in the app or in the video I downloaded at the time (audio was enabled). Video quality is very poor in the app, but normal once downloaded. Overall, very disappointing
Had a Yi Dashcam for about 5 years and it has always worked from for me. Never had issues connecting to the Dashcam and reviewing saved videos. Recently reinstalled the app and I could not connect to the Dashcam no matter what I did. I was playing with the app permissions and enabled “Local Network” and suddenly it all worked again. Disable it and the app won’t connect to Dashcam. Sound like a security issue and not sure why it’s needed.
So I bought mine like 3 months ago. It was working perfectly I tried to view my videos and it was working fine, the video was clear and everything was good. The day comes when I finally need to get footage from the camera and to my surprise I couldn’t even view any of my videos nor could I download them. It just kept loading and loading. I’m really disappointed because I really did like the camera.
Not sure what the bad reviews are about. It was easy for me to download the series of videos when I needed them.
Had the cameras for 4 years and was working perfectly! Now since update, it won’t connect!! I have two cameras too! Fix it!!!!!
