Shirabe Jisho for Android

I’ve been studying Japanese since high school (I’m 29 now). I used an online Jisho in college but I recently found this app while looking for a kanji dictionary and have been absolutely shocked with the quality and depth of resources that are available for free. There are flash cards for kanji, words, and common sayings, and they can be sorted by grade level, JLPT level, frequency of use, radicals, dialects, etc. There are multiple detailed example sentences given in the entry for each word/kanji and the sentence can be broken down to the particle if you click on it. Seriously amazing resource.

this dictionary has helped me with japanese so much especially the drawing kanji feature cus even if my drawings look horrible the kanji still shows up which is sooo helpful also example sentences and vocab listsss thank you sooo muchh <3333

Compared to all the other kanji teaching paid programs, I kind that this is definitely a better way to go. The learning algorithm is great and allows you to be flexible.

It has everything you could possibly want, from example sentences, kanji stroke order and meaning, and even a writing feature to “draw” out tricky kanji you don’t know. Oh and its an offline dictionary so its instant!
