Grindr para Android

I have an Android 6 that cannot have OS 13, therefore I have to cancel my membership

with the new update it stopped working because it does not allow me to access the latest version compatible with my Android

É absurdo que versão da app só funcione para quem tem IOS 13.0 ou posterior. Quem não tiver telemóvel que permita fazer essa atualização, simplesmente deixa de poder aceder. Já não basta as funcionalidades gratuitas serem diminutas, agora ainda fazem esta atualização. Oferecem-me um Android 13 pro max?

With every update the app’s functions, new features, new profile fields, etc become more and more focused on one night stands and promiscuity, and less on allowing people who want and are capable of building healthy, meaningful relationships to find and meet each other. This increasingly pushes away those people, which ultimately is to the detriment of the gay community in general. Without examples of healthy relationships between gay men a lot of younger gay people that are still learning to accept themselves think a happy and healthy relationship, maybe even a family, and so many other things are not possible for them simply because they were born gay, and so they turn to one night stands to try to fill the void, to feel less alone, thus perpetuating the problem. A problem the people at Grindr are all too happy to incentivise while rationalising it with pitiful arguments like “it’s better than being afraid” (really? that’s the bar? Grindr: is better than nothing?) or “one night stands are a type of relationship”, because when this becomes a lifestyle for their users Grindr can keep monetising these people for years and years, to sell subscriptions, increase revenue, find itself a new owner and more investors, all the while wrapping itself in a Pride flag. How a social media network/dating app is designed has an impact on the behaviour of its users, thus Grindr has the responsibility to do better, instead now they even started allowing nudity in profiles photos. Here is a thought, something simple that would go a long way, longer than empty words about “gay community”: Instead of “looking for” and the current options “chat, friends, dates, relationships, networking, right now” change it to “open to” with the options “one night stands, friends with benefits, friends, relationship, networking”. And showing at least 1 line of the bio text when someone opens a profile, to at least pretend that the app doesn’t just incentivise shirtless/nude photos, and that showing a bit of personality and self respect is also important in life. Unfortunately, it would be more likely for Grindr to add a “p*nis size” field in profiles than any of these simple changes. Because it makes money out of the problem, Grindr has no incentive to improve.

Uma falta de respeito pelos utilizadores da app. Merecem zero dos consumidores gays, merecemos muito mais e melhor que uma app deste género.
