1. By leveraging the capability of an iPhone® or iPad®, an anesthesia medication labeling system can be implemented at minimal cost, only requiring purchase of the application and an inexpensive label printer for each operating room.

2. When the anesthesia provider taps the print button to create syringe, vial, or dilution labels, the app calculates the expiration dates and times for each drug selected.

3. By having the capability to print multiple labels at once, all medication labels for a surgical case can be printed in seconds with a few taps.

4. It then communicates wirelessly with the label printer to create the medication labels.
